The Naked Room is a contemporary art gallery based in Kyiv and an institution-producer of the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 59th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia.
The gallery is driven by rigorous curatorial programming and aspiration for a legitimate art market for Ukrainian artists. Co-founded in 2018 in Kyiv by independent curators Lizaveta German and Maria Lanko, it is focused on establishing a reasonable representation of Ukrainian artists in the local and international markets.
The gallery represents, among others, Lucy Ivanova, Katya Buchatska, Petro Ryaska, Denis Salivanov, Anna Zvyagintseva, Dasha Kuzmich.
The Naked Room also collaborates with established artists and their families, including Pavlo Makov, Viktor Marushchenko and Alexander Chekmenev.
In 2019 the gallery founded Artist Estate of Oleg Holosiy.
In 2021 The Naked Room together with Montblanc founded Artists Prize — a professional recognition for artists awarded by artists.
In 2021 the gallery won the right to represent Ukraine at La Biennale di Venezia with the project Fountain of Exhaustion. Acqua Alta by Pavlo Makov.
In 2022 Internet Investment group joined The Naked Room as a partner.
